How much are the play yards?

All our basic play yards take up a 12'x12' space with a 10’x10’ fenced in play area. The basic play yards are $415. This always includes the fence, soft mat flooring, ball pit, tunnel, soft play climbing blocks, and often we throw in a few extra surprise elements! We do not charge any other fees for customizing the theme.

How long is the rental for?

The rental period is three hours and begins when your party starts. We arrive about one hour before your party to set up and come back to pack up three hours after your party starts. Additional hours are $50/hr. 

What areas of Virginia do you service?

We are just about everywhere! We have local teams in the following places:

Southside Hampton Roads (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake)

Hampton Roads Peninsula (Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Poquoson)

Richmond (Mosely, Chesterfield, Henrico, Mechanicsville, Midlothian)

Northern Virginia (Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Arlington, Falls Church, Chantilly, Middleburg, Leesburg, Winchester)

Central Virginia (Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Fluvanna County, Louisa County, Orange, Waynesboro, Gordonsville, Zion Crossroads, Lynchburg)

How are delivery charges calculated for the service?

Our delivery charges are designed to be straightforward and transparent, ensuring you understand exactly what you're paying for without any hidden costs.

Please note: There is a $25 DMV Metro area surcharge as of July 2023. This helps cover the cost of delivery in areas of Virginia with denser traffic and longer commute times. Here's how we calculate the delivery charges:

Base Rate:

Every delivery starts with a base rate of $30. This covers the initial costs associated with starting the delivery process from our local storage facility.

Per Mile Charge:

Beyond the base rate, we charge $0.75 for each mile. This mileage charge covers the distance from our local storage facility to your delivery destination.

Example:

If you're play yard is delivered 20 miles from our local storage facility, here's how your charges would be calculated:

- Base Rate: $30

- Mileage Charge: 20 miles @ $0.75/mile = $15

- Total Delivery Charge: $30 (Base Rate) + $15 (Mileage Charge) = $45

Is there a damage/cleaning deposit?

Nope! We do not charge any additional fees or hold any refundable deposits.  If there is damage beyond normal wear and tear, we will invoice for the damaged equipment after the event.

How do I make a reservation?

Visit our Book Now page and send us a message to connect and start planning your party! We will invoice you and set up payment for the $50 deposit. The rest is due one week before the party.

What ages are your play yards suited for?

Our play equipment is suited from 0-5years old with adult supervision. While children up to five years old are allowed inside the play yards, our play yards are most appropriate for 1-3 year old children.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through Stripe and now offer Affirm, which allows you to book now and pay later!

Do you assemble the soft play equipment for us?

We do! Every soft play yard comes in multiple pieces that we will setup for you at the time of delivery and disassemble at when we pick it up. We require at least one hour to setup the play yard before your scheduled time block and 30 minutes after to take it back down. Setup usually takes approximately 45 minutes and breakdown takes approximately 30 minutes.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens. The $50 deposit is non-refundable. For any cancellation made less than 3 days of your event no refund will be offered but we will work with you to reschedule your event. We do not set up outdoors when rain/snow or wet conditions are forecast. We will not reschedule in case of inclement weather so we recommend an indoor back up plan.

In the unlikely event that Virginia Soft Play LLC should cancel your booking due to unsafe road conditions or another circumstance a full refund will be provided.

Where can I set up the play yard?

Setups can be indoors or outdoors! Outdoors, we require a dry, flat surface free of water, debris, and obstructions to set up our play areas. In addition, setup area must be located in a shaded area to keep equipment away from the sun and heat, which can overheat the equipment and cause damage or possibly hurt little ones when in contact with skin. These requirements are for the safety of all your little ones!
